Real behaviour, slowed down so you can follow it.
Peek finds things, explains them, does them for you and types for you, in any app on your Mac.
Ask where something is and your AI buddy circles the exact button, row or setting. The closer you get, the more it glows.
Say "step by step" and Peek opens a chalkboard, redraws what's on your screen and works through it while it talks.
Peek handles PDFs, images, links and visible walkthrough steps. It checks the screen after each step and asks before sensitive actions.
…and that's just the start ↓
the honest version
Peek doesn't watch your screen. It takes one screenshot, only when you ask a question.
One screenshot and your question, to answer it. Not stored, not used for training. Apps you exclude are never captured.
Every app hides things in a different place. Searching the menus, then a forum, then a video, for one setting, every day. So I built Peek, a small AI helper that lives on your Mac: hold two keys, ask out loud, and it points at the exact thing on your screen and talks you through it.
It's made by one person. It isn't perfect yet, and the changelog says so.

If it's on your screen, you can ask about it. Pointing is most precise in apps that describe their buttons to macOS, which most do.
No. It takes one screenshot when you ask a question, and nothing in between.
macOS 14 or later. Apple silicon recommended, since voice and dictation run on your Mac.
Only when you ask it to do a task. Peek works through ordinary visible steps, asks before sensitive actions, and stops when it cannot verify a control.
